Online Shopping - Boon? Curse?

Shopping online. This is the topic we are going to see today. I'm just going to share a little experience of mine and I'm also going to explain you about the lessons I learned from this experience. This happened last Christmas, when my parents were busy shopping and decorating our home. I too thought that I should buy something for my sake with the hundred bucks that my dad gave to buy something for Christmas. As i was a computer geek, I thought of trying my hand in online shopping (Though I have did some shopping online before, never bought anything outside of eBay or amazon) This time I tried to shop from other sites ( low Price obviously) that my friend recommended. I was looking for a cheap external hard disk for my computer, I was just browsing the catalog to find one. At last I found the device I was searching for in shiny black with 2TB ( 2000 GB !!!!!!) of memory and the price...? astonishingly just 99$. Do you think I'll miss this chance? I ordered for the external hard drive the next minute. They promised me that I'll get it through FedEx in four days and they didn't charge me anything for transportation. I'll finish the story in next post... bye for now.

Say Yes to cash

In the previous post we have seen enough about why we shouldn't use credit cards to make our payments. I'm sure the readers would be surprised to know how much money they are losing every year just as service tax. For all those who are convinced not to use credit cards can skip this post now. But if you are one of those small population still thinking I'm not smart enough to differentiate between credit cards shopping and cash shopping. This is exactly for you, As I am going to explain to you about the advantages of using cash, THE REAL CASH - made of paper. Read the next few lines to see how. You spend less - Yes. When you spend as cash, you see the real money and you become conscious about your spending and tend to spend less. Scientifically approved. You  pay for what you buy - Yes. You don't have to pay those extra charges unnecessarily. Easy to keep track - You can log your daily spending and keep track of it without any difficulty. Avoid shopping obsession - If you are shopping maniac, cash is the gift god has created. Make use of it. Spend less, live more. Adios.

Say No to credit cards

It has became a part of our daily behavior to use credit cards to make all payments. I am seeing millions of Americans everyday on the streets, in the shops, in the hotels, in the airport and even in country side gas filling station. Most of those people make their payments through credit cards. 'Oh! What's there in that? Don't be silly.." - you may have started to think by now, as you read the first few lines of my post. Wait.. I'm here to explain you the complexities involved in using credit cards and the ignorance people have in this matter. Yes... Credit cards are swallowing your money, penny by penny. Have your ever checked your credit card bills manually? Do you really know how much money you lose just in the name of "Service Tax"? If you don't believe me just call your bank and get the credit card information for this month and cross check it with the actual purchase you made. Calculate the percentage that has gone invisible. Now take that amount and multiply by 12, the number of months in a year. Now multiply this number by the total number of years you are using your credit card. Got the final number?? Got some surprise?? Wait till my next post to hear the remaining story.
