Obsession?

It really pains to see the youngsters of America. I really pity them. I have never such people, who don't even care for themselves. The recent survey by the American health society based in Illinois recently made a survey among 1000 teens, all of age between 12 to 19 and made a detailed survey about their eating habit. This is a very extensive research, involving thousands of people and two years of time. All the data that has been collected is processed and it has been found out that nearly 30% of the people are affected by obesity problem. This is nearly 75% more than what was recorded in the last decade.

All this is because of the junk foods that's been introduced in the shopping market of the American society, All of them contain bad fats, increasing the fat level and producing excess carbohydrates which sediments under the skin to bring obesity. Our teens buy big packets of snacks and beer, and spend most of their time in front of TVs watching football matches or spend the whole night browsing the internet. This scenario must change. They must be instructed to take healthier food, at least for three days a week else this may cause a lot of helth problem in the future.

Shop Green

Hi readers, you may be confused by the topic of this post. Shopping green? Right. Now a days people are moving towards towards green foods, like following the GM diet to reduce their body weight. In some other cases, it is much more intense, like following liquid diet to reduce the body fat. For instance, take the case of Angelina Julie - She is on Vineyards detox diet. This is on all papers today. I have seen and witnessed that people stick to green only if they face some troubles or want to have some super natural results such as shedding 300 Oz in a single month. Why can't people follow such a kind of "Green thinking" even in shopping too.

 I'll just give some tips to create this new habit of green shopping. First, take your own bags to carry the groceries. I hope it won't be difficult to carry just a bag on the back of your car, instead of carrying things in plastic carry bags, that's going to rotten our environment. Secondly - Don't buy cooked food. I mean, foods that come in tins, since most of the mineral contents are removed while processing them. Thirdly -  check for the "safe to the environment" symbol when you buy any product.

DVD Shopping

Renting movied DVD is a age old habit. Yes, My dad used to hire DVDs when he was a teen, just like me few decades back. Even now this habit continues. But the purchase  of the DVDs also have increased considerably in past few years.  The die-hard movie fans buy the original DVS. This has increased the sales of the movie DVDs. But now, the movie DVD field is again going low. It's all because of the pirated copy of the movies being available in the internet. The new bit Torrent protocol has made it possible to download all new movies even the first day. After the introduction of DRM rights, the downloading has gone a little now. But the computer geeks have found ways to break the DRM too, thus again increasing the pirated copies of movies. Even the big movie collectors are having second thoughts because you can buy nearly 10 bank DVDs and burn nearly 40 movies for the money you spend to buy one original DVD. Legally this may be wrong, but the increasing torrent downloads everyday shoes people's interest and support for this. So it's better for companies to make an alternate plan for selling their movies. Else they have to quit the market very soon. 

Window Shopping

This is an exclusive post about window shopping. Last month I had been to Los Vegas for a business meeting. I was about to meet few clients and I stayed in a motel outside the city to avoid the high-cost hotel rooms in Los Vegas.  Everyone knows about the cost of living in Los Vegas. But there is an advantage in this too. For the first time I experienced the pleasure of window shopping. Yeah. You are right. I had planned for a five days trip to Vegas and my business trip got over in four days, surprisingly!! So I spent the last day, roaming around the streets of the Los Vegas. Only during that time I discovered the real pleasure in window shopping.

 I was amazed by the extensive display of the products on the streets. I saw different kinds of attires, Rugs, champagne, electronic gadgets and even more. I also went inside many shops asked for sample items, tested them. For instance, I went inside a scent shop and enjoyed different odors of high quality of scents for free. And after the window shopping I came to know about the wide varieties and also came to know the best among them. After coming back from Vegas I bought all the things that I found in Vegas in the local shops for much cheaper price in my home town. This is the real great advantage of window shopping. 

Year end sales

Hi readers, I got a mail from my friend of mine a few days back.

" Hi Pal. I'm really confused about the different offers given by the people at the end of the year. though they give offers around the year, now I'm seeing discount percentages which are unbelievable. These sales are put up on all shops from retail shops to factory outlets. There is a tough competition between all the big brands that they are giving unbelievable discount. Also in some offers it has been stated that it's a year end sale - So i'm little concerned about the quality of the products too. I don't know whether to buy from these kind of sales. Also please tell me whether I can believe the big brands alone or I can make use of all the trade offers. Also tell me is it a wise idea to do the shopping for the whole year now and stay frugal during the remaining days of the year. Please clarify all my doubts"

When I got this letter, I wasn't concerned about this much. But now I realize that not only this friend of mine, but many people have got similar doubts. Before clearing his doubt, I thought our readers would have more ideas than me in this matter, So I request the readers to pour in their opinions in the comments.
